Georg Basner

Georg Basner (* 18th June 1905 in Nidzica , Masuria , † after 1958 ) was a German teacher, playwright and theater practitioners.

Life

Georg Basner was an actor and director and then a teacher at the Reich Labor Service . After 1934, he wrote more than a dozen stage works mostly political and historical Schau- and folk games, and in 1935 a ballad and 1937 a drama .

He joined the NSDAP , came to Jüterbog in the Hanns Kerrl camp (named after Hanns Kerrl ), an institution of the Association of National Socialist German Jurists (BNSDJ), which was renamed the National Socialist Lawyers' Association in 1936 . In June 1937 Georg Basner signed a permanent contract with the camp commandant Karl Hildebrandt. From 1937 he worked there as a course director and from 1941 as a cultural-political trainer.

In spring 1950 he got involved with Wilhelm Schaub in the construction of the Kunsthaus at the Passion Play Theater in Oberammergau . In August 1951 he worked as head of advertising in the spa town of Baden-Baden in the Miss Germany beauty contest . In the same year, as a director at Rees-Film in Schwäbisch Gmünd, he finished the documentaries Große Woche and Miss Germany , about the beauty queen Vera Marks .

In February 1946, Georg Basner was entered in the list of literature to be sorted out in the Soviet occupation zone with the note “Nazi writers”.
