The Baden-Airpark is the conversion site of the former Canadian military airfield CFB Baden-Soellingen , southwest of Rastatt and west of Baden-Baden near the French border and on the Rheinmünster district.
It consists of the Karlsruhe / Baden-Baden airport , an extensive industrial area, various leisure facilities such as an ice sports (curling) hall, an 18-hole golf course and two museums, including the German-Canadian Air Force Museum eV, which deals with the history in detail the former Canadian Air Base .
Baden-Airpark GmbH is a 66.7 percent subsidiary of Flughafen Stuttgart GmbH , which in turn is 35% owned by the city of Stuttgart and 65% by the state of Baden-Württemberg . The remaining shares in Baden-Airpark are held by the surrounding communities and districts as well as the cities of Karlsruhe and Baden-Baden. In 2018, around 130 companies with a total of over 2,700 employees were located in the business park.
