Leticia Koffke
Leticia Koffke (* around 1971 ) is a German photo model and a beauty queen .
Life
In 1990, the then 19-year-old from the city of Brandenburg an der Havel was elected the first and only "Miss GDR" in Schwerin . This event was carried out by the "MGC".
Up until then, beauty contests had been frowned upon in the GDR , but the GDR was already in the process of being dissolved. When Marlene Schmidt was elected Miss Germany in Baden-Baden in 1961 and won the Miss Universe title in the same year , there were bad words from the “ Black Channel ” about the GDR citizen who emigrated to the West with her mother in 1960, with corresponding ironic assessment of beauty pageants.
As Miss GDR, Leticia Koffke took second place at the Queen of the World in Baden-Baden on October 24th . In December of the same year she was crowned Miss Brandenburg as Miss Germany 1990/91 in Wesseling (near Cologne) - the first all-German since 1933.
She later developed her own fashion collection and now lives with her daughter in Cologne.
