The I-Threes were the background vocal trio of Bob Marley & the Wailers , consisting of Judy Mowatt , Marcia Griffiths and Bob Marley's wife Rita Marley . The trio was formed in 1974 shortly after Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer left the band. They were the first time on the album Natty Dread to hear (1974) and accompanied early 1975 Bob Marley them on a tour of the United States, where as the opening act for The Jackson Five occurred.

The trio also took on the background vocals on two albums by Serge Gainsbourg : Aux armes et cætera (1979) and Mauvaises nouvelles des étoiles (1981).
