INC (Abbreviation for Indestructible Noise Command ) is an American thrash metal band from Bridgeport , Connecticut , which was formed in 1985, split up in 1990 and reunited in 2010.

history

The band was formed in 1985 by guitarist Erik Barath and bassist and singer Dennis Gergely. A short time later, guitarist Anthony Fabrizi and drummer Gary Duguay joined the band and completed the line-up. The group initially covered songs by Iron Maiden and Judas Priest . In 1986 the band recorded their first demo with their own songs and the first bigger concerts followed with groups like Exodus , Megadeth and King Diamond . As a result, the band reached a contract with Giant Records , which in 1987 released the debut album Razorback . The release was followed by appearances with Hades , Flotsam and Jetsam , Overkill and Death . After the second album The Visitor was released in 1988 , other appearances followed, including as opening act for Pantera . After the band separated from their Giant Records label, they broke up in 1990.

In 2010, the band reunited to record the EP Bleed the Line , which was recorded and produced in the spring and summer of the same year. The EP, as well as the single God Loves Violence , which was produced by Fredrik Nordström , was released on the band's own label M90 Records. The band then signed a contract with Rising Records , which in spring 2011 saw the release of the album Heaven Sent… Hellbound , which was also produced by Nordström.

style

On their first album Razorback , the band played technically demanding Thrash Metal, which is occasionally reminiscent of the works of Voivod . On the second album, The Visitor , the band played heavier, atypical Thrash Metal, with the playing of the electric guitar and the vocals being described as unusual. Another characteristic feature was the use of instruments, some of which were not typical of metal, such as the use of a castagnette . On their album Heaven Sent… Hellbound the band sounds more modern, although the songs are mostly in the mid-tempo range.
