I. Grekowa ( Russian И. Грекова , stage name derived from igrek , Slavic for Y ; also Irina Nikolajewna Grekowa , actually Elena Venttsel or Jelena Sergejewna Wentzel , née Dolginzewa; * March 8th July / March 21st 1907 greg. In Reval (now Tallinn) ; † April 15, 2002 in Moscow ) was a Russian mathematician and writer .
The daughter of a mathematician and a linguist studied mathematics in Leningrad until 1929, received her doctorate in technical sciences in 1954, and from 1955 taught as a professor specializing in corporate research . From 1935 to 1968 she worked at the Moscow Military Academy of the Air Force . From 1968 to 1987 she was a professor of applied mathematics at MIIT Moscow .
Literary work
I. Grekowa published his first literary works in the literary magazine Nowy Mir at the time when Alexander Twardowski was the editor .
