IFK Lidingö

IFK Lidingö ( Swedish : Idrottsföreningen Kamraterna "Sports Association The Comrades") is a Swedish sports club from Lidingö .

The club, founded in 1932, mainly offers soccer , athletics , handball and orienteering . Other sports include badminton and swimming .

Well-known athletes of the club are Mikael Dorsin and Ludmila Engquist .

The men's handball team were Swedish champions in 1949.

The ice hockey department took part in the Swedish championship and the country's second-highest division for several seasons .

Orienteering

The club's men's relay won the Tiomila in 1951 , and the women won in 2010. In 1999 the club won the 25-manna . A number of well-known foreign runners such as the world champions Lucie Böhm (1997) and Graham Gristwood (2008) started for Lidingö.
