The IJse is a tributary of the Dijle in the Scheldt river system . It has its source in the Belgian municipalities of Sint-Genesius-Rode and Hoeilaart in Flemish Brabant .

The municipalities of Huldenberg and Loonbeek are in the valley . Overijse and Neerijse have the Ijse as part of their name. At Neerijse the Ijse flows into the Dijle.
