INFORMS Impact Prize
The INFORMS Impact Prize is a biennial scientific award presented by the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences ( INFORMS ). The award, which is accompanied by a cash prize of US $ 1,000 and a medal, recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to operations research . This is not primarily a research award; rather, according to the statutes, the focus should be on the influence of an idea or method, but also on the personality. The prize was awarded for the first time in 2004.
