ISCM World Music Days 2003

The ISCM World Music Days 2003 of the ISCM took place from September 26th to October 3rd, 2003 for the first time in Slovenia . The theme of the World Music Days was "Music for the Third Millennium". The majority of the concerts took place in the capital Ljubljana . The international jury included the composers Klojz Srebotnjak , André Laporte , Arne Mellnäs , Doina Rotaru , Ivo Petrić and Krzysztof Penderecki . The Slovenian Pavel Mihelčič was the artistic director. There were compositions by Jean-Luc Darbellay , Hans Werner Henze , Balázs Horváth , Hugh Davies a . v. a. played. The performers included the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra, the Radio Symphony Orchestra (RSO) Frankfurt and the Minguet Quartet.
