IT-Business (own spelling: IT-BUSINESS ) is a German trade journal for telecommunications , information technology and cloud computing . IT-Business appeared for the first time at CeBIT in March 1991. In addition to news on the IT market, it devotes itself in detail to technical focuses from telecommunications, information technology and strategic business issues that are relevant for ICT manufacturers, retailers and system houses.

The circulation is 25,774 copies (2nd quarter 2019, source: IVW ). IT-Business serves the entire ICT market with its edition, in particular system houses , IT service providers , managed service providers , retailers and e-tailers.

IT-Business is published by Vogel IT-Medien in Augsburg , a subsidiary of the Vogel Communications Group .

history

The publication was founded by a student company with the participation of Werner Nieberle. The students had also been working as IT resellers since 1989 and soon recognized the gap in the market for an independent publication for the IT market at the time.

At CeBIT 1991 they came onto the market with the newly founded "EHZ - EDV-Handelszeitung". Since then, the publication has changed significantly three times in order to adapt to the requirements of the market and reader behavior: in 1998 the monthly magazine “EHZ” became the weekly journal “IT-Sales Week”, and in 2000 it changed to the newspaper “IT -Business News ”and in January 2007 the bi-weekly“ IT-Business ” magazine in magazine format .

IT business media

IT business does not appear on the market alone, however, but as "IT business media" in a cross-media network with the online offer it-business.de , newsletters, social media activities, podcasts and the Vogel IT Academy event area (formerly IT Business Academy). In this constellation, a portfolio is offered which is tailored to decision-makers in the indirect sales of telecommunications and information technology .
