IV Army Inspection (German Empire)
The IV Army Inspection was an organizational unit of the Army of the German Empire . The Bavarian army had also been assigned to it since 1871 , but due to Bavaria's reservation rights it was only sworn in to the Kaiser when war broke out in 1914. The position of general inspector was initially filled with Prussian officers, and from 1892 until the outbreak of World War I, with Bavarian princes. It had its seat in Berlin, since 1892 in Munich. In the course of the mobilization in 1914 it was dissolved.
