action

The Roman centurion Cornelius is looking for Eltheas at the request of Apostle Thomas . He is talking to his friends about the rumors that a Nazarene had been crucified.

Cornelius reports to Eltheas and his friends about Barabbas , Jesus 'entry into Jerusalem and Jesus' sermons in the temple. The Romans worry that Jesus' presence in Jerusalem could cause an uproar. Cornelius hears about the plans of the high priest Kajaphas to have Jesus killed and instructs Thomas to tell Jesus that he should leave the city. Meanwhile, Jesus is holding the Last Supper with his disciples and announcing the betrayal by Judas Iscariot . A little later, Jesus is arrested in the garden of Gethsemane ; he is tried under governor Pontius Pilate . Pilate's attempts to spare Jesus from the crucifixion fail; the people also prefer to see Barabbas as a free man instead of Jesus. After the death of Jesus, Pilate has his grave guarded.

To the astonishment of Eltheas and his friends, Cornelius reports that Jesus is still not dead. Cornelius reports in detail about Jesus' resurrection . Despite reports from Mary Magdalene and the disciples of Emmaus who saw Jesus, Thomas had doubts, but when Jesus finally appeared, he too believed. Cornelius testifies to Eltheas and his friends that Jesus came to save humanity, having seen his glory.
