I Want a Little Girl is a song that Billy Moll (lyrics) and Murray Mencher (music) wrote and published in 1930 by Shapiro, Bernstein & Co.

The songwriting team Billy Moll and Murray Mencher, who also wrote Ro-Ro-Rollin 'Along , wrote I Want a Little Girl in G major in the form of a traditional pop song. The first verse of the song reads:

I want a little girl, call my own.
She must be someone who's all alone now.
Say, I want a little girl to fall in love with me, oh yeah.

For the first time I want a Little Girl in Vaudeville was Lester Allen. It became famous for the McKinney's Cotton Pickers record .
