Ian Carr-Harris

Ian Carr-Harris (born August 12, 1941 in Victoria ) is a Canadian sculptor and installation artist .

life and work

Ian Carr-Harris graduated from Queen's University with a degree in history (1963), literature from the University of Toronto (1964) and sculpture from OCAD University (1971). Ian-Harris has taught at OCAD University since 1972.

Carr-Harris's early sculptures were influenced by minimalism and conceptual art . Later works are room installations with theater and film equipment elements, photos and text contributions.
