Ian Chadwick

Ian Nelson Chadwick (born July 6, 1978 ) is a retired American basketball player and current coach.

career

Chadwick played at Parkview High School in Atlanta , Georgia , from 1997 to 2001 at Wofford College in the first NCAA division. In a total of 109 games for the college team, Chadwick averaged 16.4 points per encounter. With 299 three-point throws, which the 1.90 meter tall structure player met during his four years at Wofford College, he set a new record for the university team and the Southern Conference. In 2006, Chadwick, who graduated from Wofford College with an economics degree, was inducted into the college's Hall of Fame.

As a professional basketball player, Chadwick was under contract with the Austrian Bundesliga club UBC Mattersburg in the 2002/03 and 2003/04 seasons , interrupted by a guest appearance at the Croatian second division club Focus Varazdin. After his time in Mattersburg, his professional career ended.

He worked professionally in Vienna , in 2012 he moved with his family to Augsburg for professional reasons and played basketball in the amateur field with the second team of BG Leitershofen / Stadtbergen . He was also involved as a trainer. In the run-up to the 2017/18 season, he took over as the successor to Stefan Goschenhofer as coach at the regional league men in Leitershofen / Stadtbergens and stayed until the end of the 2018/19 season, in spring 2019 he returned to the USA for professional reasons.
