Ibrahim Wasif ( Arabic إبراهيم واصف, DMG Ibrāhīm Wāṣif ; * November 4, 1908 in Port Said ; † May 17, 1975 ) was an Egyptian weightlifter .

successes

He was a participant in the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin . During the light heavyweight competition , he set an Olympic record with 150 kg in the push, together with the German Eugen Deutsch . Despite this record, he won the bronze medal behind Deutsch.

At a competition in Alexandria in 1938 he set a world record with 160 kg in pushing.
