Ida (* around 1200 , † around 1240 ) was abbess at Freckenhorst Abbey .

Life

Ida was the successor of Abbess Kunegundis von der Lippe . A dispute that had developed between her and the cathedral chapter in Münster because of the archdeaconate in Freckenhorst, had to be caused by several from Pope Honorius III. appointed arbitrators are arbitrated. This emerges from a document dated April 11, 1225. The veneration of the cross in Freckenhorst had gained significantly in importance both during her term in office and that of her successors. In 1240 Heilewigis succeeded Ida.
