Ida Hinz
Ida Hinz , née Präkelt (born December 28, 1904 in Bönebüttel , † May 26, 1986 in Kiel ) was a German local politician and mayor of Kiel.
Life
Ida Hinz, a member of the Socialist Workers' Youth (SAJ) since 1919 and a member of the SPD since 1921 , was a member of the council of Kiel from 1946 to 1974 . Since 1951 she was a member of the magistrate and deputy mayor. In 1970 she became the first woman in the history of the city of Kiel, and in 1974 the city of Kiel recognized her services by granting her honorary citizenship . This was intended to honor the exemplary local political activity of "us Ida", as it was widely known.
Ida Hinz was also an honorary member of the Gaarden Guild. The Ida-Hinz-Platz in Kiel commemorates the former local politician and city president.
Her grave of honor is located in the old urn cemetery (Kiel), field 25, no. 17-18.
