Idaios (son of Dares)

Idaios ( Greek  Ἰδαῖος ) was a participant in the Trojan War in Greek mythology .

He was the son of Dares , a priest of Hephaestus in Troy . He was the brother of Phegeus , who died at the hand of Diomedes in one of the following fights , while Idaios himself escaped. The scholia to Homer condemn the flight of Idaios as a violation of the customs of the Greeks.
