Ide (daughter of Melissa)
Ide ( Greek Ἴδη ; sometimes Ἴδα Ida or Εἴδη Eide ), daughter of Melisseus and sister of Adrasteia , is a figure in Greek mythology .
She was an Idaean nymph in Crete and probably an eponym of the Cretan Ida Mountains . Rhea entrusted her with the education of little Zeus (see wet nurses of Zeus ). Ida is said to have been the namesake of the Phrygian Ida Mountains and to have ruled in Troas .
In another version, Ida, Adrasteia and another sister named Amalthea were daughters of Oceanus .
