Ieva Kibirkštis (born April 2, 1991 in Pointe-Claire , Québec , Canada ) is a Lithuanian national soccer player and soccer coach.

Life

Kibirkśtis attended the Ecole Secondaire Des Sources in Dollard-des-Ormeaux . She then went to Mount St. Mary's University in 2008, where she studied psychology . In autumn 2012, she moved to Finland to study abroad to study sports science at the University of Jyväskylä . After a year she went to the University of Leipzig , where she studied diagnostics and intervention.

Active career

society

Kibirkśtis started her career in 2005 in the youth of Lac-St. Louis Lakers Club and also played for the Women Soccer Team of the Ecole Secondaire des Sources. After graduating in 2008, she went to Mount St. Mary's University to study and played for their Mountaineers Women Soccer Team. In 2009, the central defender played , in addition to her studies in Metro Division 1 for the Dollard Red Stars and in the 2010 semester break for Kirkland United, also in Metro Division 1. After finishing her studies in autumn 2012, she moved to Finland , where she worked for Iyväskylän Pallokerho played before moving to Regionalliga-Nordost Team SV Eintracht Leipzig-Süd on August 22, 2013 .

National team

Born in Canada, Kibirkśtis decided early on to play for the Lithuanian Football Association . She ran for the first time in 2007 for the U-17 and later several times in U-19 international matches. Before she made her A international debut on March 8, 2011 against the Luxembourg national soccer team.

Coaching career

Kibirkśtis has had the CSA Community Coach Children trainer license since 2009. From 2007 to 2008 she worked for the youth academy of Lakeshore Soccer and for the Women Soccer Team of the Ecole Dorval-Jean XXIII in 2010. From May to June 2011 she sat in on the Ecole Secondaire DesSources and worked as an assistant trainer for Women Soccer Teams, she also worked from October 2009 to May 2011 as the coach of the Pointe-Claire Amateur Soccer Association . In April 2011 she became the coach of the FC Frederick U-10 Women Soccer Team in Frederick , Maryland , USA . In May 2012 she returned to Canada and started working as a youth coach for the Hudson St-Lazare Soccer Association. Kibirkśtis also leads training seminars at the West Island Soccer School during the break of the season, alongside former male professionals Danny Anderson , Joe Di Buono , Alex Henault and Mike Vitulano .
