Taboada played very few tournaments in his professional career and very rarely won a match. From 2007 to 2009 he only played one individual tournament on the ITF Future Tour , where he always lost at the beginning. In his two appearances in doubles in 2006 and 2009, he won at least one match. Other than that, he only played one other tournament, and that was the ATP World Tour . Thanks to a wildcard , Taboada got the chance to play doubles with Kevin Kim in his hometown of Atlanta. Here the locals lost against Colin Ebelthite and Marinko Matosevic in two sets. The American was never able to place himself in the world rankings and he did not play any more matches after this tournament.
