Ignatius Capizzi
Ignatius Capizzi (lat. "The fiery"; * September 2, 1708 in Bronte in Sicily in Italy ; † September 27, 1783 in Palermo )
Life
Capizzi founded an institute for the training of young people in Bronte . He became known for his commitment to young people, the elderly, the sick and the poor. In Sicily he was a popular preacher.
His Catholic feast day is September 27th.
The beatification process was initiated in 1819 and the "heroic degree of virtue" of Ignatius Capizzi was confirmed in 1858, but the beatification did not take place.
