Ignaz Ambros of Amman

Ignaz Ambros von Amman (also Ignaz Ambrosius Ammann ; * December 7, 1753 in Nusplingen or Mühlheim an der Donau ; † January 17, 1830 or 1840 in Dillingen an der Donau ) was a German cartographer and national geometer .

Ignaz Ambros von Amman was Princely Augsburg Court Chamber Councilor and State Geometer of the Hochstift Augsburg , which came to Bavaria in 1803 . Together with Bohnenberger from Württemberg, he was the editor of the Charte von Schwaben (1798-1828).

In 1816 he drew a map of the location of the Kleinseebacher mill and the Baiersdorfer mill on the Regnitz in Bavaria.

His works are better known in Swabia and Württemberg.
