Ignaz Derndorfer (born January 19, 1869 in Kematen an der Krems , † December 22, 1932 in Linz ) was an Austrian builder and master mason.

Live and act

Ignaz Derndorfer obtained his trade license as a master builder and mason in 1905. According to his plans, some outstanding late secessionist buildings were erected in the 1910s, especially in the then city of Urfahr in a style similar to that of Mauriz Balzarek's buildings. Some of them are under monument protection. Examples are the former Ringbrotwerke in Gerstnerstrasse and numerous residential and apartment buildings as well as the old municipal office building (later post office) in Anton-Bruckner-Strasse in Ansfelden .

He was chairman of the Central Association of Construction Managers in Austria.

After his death, Derndorfer's construction company was continued by his widow, and she appointed the long-standing employee, master builder Franz Keck, who later took over the company, as managing director.
