Ignaz Klug

Ignaz Klug (born July 31, 1877 in Keilberg ; † January 3, 1929 in Passau ) was a Catholic theologian and novelist.

life and work

Klug studied philosophy at the University of Würzburg, entered a seminary in 1897 and was ordained a priest three years later. In 1906 he received his doctorate in theology. In 1916 he was appointed associate professor for moral theology and Christian social theory at the Philosophical-Theological University of Passau. In 1924 he was promoted to full professor.

In addition to his theological and religious education writings, he published a novel and several biographies of saints of the Catholic Church.
