Igor Hernández Colina (born January 22, 1977 in San Carlos ) is a Venezuelan beach volleyball player .

Career

Hernandez played two Open tournaments with Franson Neris in 2000 and 2002. From 2005 to 2006 he formed a duo with Farid Mussa , which had two 17th places in Salvador da Bahia and Cape Town as the best results . In late 2006, Jackson Henriquez became his new partner. In the first tournaments there were again 17th places in Acapulco and Manama . In 2007 the duo also completed the first Grand Slams. After the Grand Slam in Berlin in 2008, it separated again. Hernandez then got together with his long-time partner Jesus Villafañe . At the first joint appearance, Villafañe / Hernandez reached Guarujáas ninth the top ten. They achieved the same result shortly afterwards in Manama. In 2009, the two Venezuelans achieved 17th place at the Grand Slam in Gstaad . In the following year, however, they did not get past 33rd place in international tournaments and in 2011 the best result was 25th place at the Brasília Open. In 2012 Villafañe / Hernandez were 17 each in Beijing and Berlin. They qualified for the Olympic Games in London at the CSV Continental Cup . There they met the German participants Jonathan Erdmann and Kay Matysik in the preliminary round .
