The Ikat Mountains ( Russian Икатский хребет ) is a mountain range in Transbaikalia in Buryatia .

The mountain range extends over a length of 200 km east of Lake Baikal between the Barguzin Depression in the northwest and the Turka river in the south. The Witim plateau borders the mountains to the east . The mean height of the mountain range is 1,800–2,000 m. The highest elevation reaches up to 2573  m .

In lower elevations (at 800–900 m above sea level) there is forest steppe . Above that, larch taiga joins (on the northern slopes up to 1200 m, on the southern slopes up to 1700 m). In the highest mountain sections prevails mountain tundra before.
