Ikuo Shiosaki
Ikuo Shiosaki ( Japanese 潮 先 郁 男 , Shiosaki Ikuo ; * 1933 in Toyonaka , Osaka Prefecture ) is a Japanese jazz guitarist and music teacher.
Ikuo Shiosaki played in Tokyo in the early 1970s with Shoji Suzuki & The Rhythm Aces, with whom the first recordings were made. In the following years he also worked with Kazuo Yashiro , Eiji Kitamura , Toshio Oida , Satoru Oda , Kōnosuke Saijō , Kohji Fujika , Ichiro Masuda , Shoji Suzuki, and in the 1980s with Benny Carter ( Street of Dreams, Ebi, My Dear Friend , 1980), Hideko Okiyama ( Summertime , 1981) and Akitoshi Igarashi . In the field of jazz he was involved in 26 recording sessions between 1972 and 1988.
His students included u. a. Shinobu Ito .
