The Ilchev Buttress (English, Bulgarian Илчев рид Ilchev rid ) is a 1,000 m high, in a north-south orientation 5 km long, 2.2 km wide and mountain comb-like mountain at the Graham Coast of Graham lands north of the Antarctic Peninsula . On the Velingrad Peninsula , it forms 7.8 km east of Mount Zdarsky , 8.5 km southeast of Mount Paulcke , 4.1 km west of Prestoy Point and 10.2 km northwest of Mount Genecand the northeastern extension of the Chiren Heights . Its steep west, north and east slopes are partly not icy. The Sohm Glacier lies to the west, the Bilgeri Glacier to the northwest, the Barilari Bay to the northeast and the Weir Glacier to the southeast.
British scientists mapped it in 1976. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2015 after Ivan Iltschew for his support of the Bulgarian Antarctic program.
