Ildevert Mathurin Mouanga

Ildevert Mathurin Mouanga (born May 27, 1966 in Hamon , Kinkala District , Republic of the Congo ) is a Congolese clergyman and Roman Catholic Bishop of Kinkala .

Life

Ildevert Mathurin Mouanga studied at the seminary in Brazzaville and received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of Kinkala on August 16, 1998 .

After being ordained a priest, he initially worked for two years in pastoral care. From 2000 to 2004 he studied Biblical Theology at the Pontifical Biblical Institute in Rome and obtained a licentiate . After further studies at the Pontifical Urban University , he was awarded a Dr. theol. PhD . After returning to his home country, he taught at the Brazzaville seminary until 2013 and its Regens since 2014 .

Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Kinkala on March 5, 2020. He received his episcopal ordination on June 28 of the same year.
