action

Wanda from Poland takes care of the elderly head of the family Josef on the Wegmeister-Gloor family's estate on Lake Zurich . After his stroke, she is there around the clock for the bedridden 70-year-old, also helps his wife Elsa, and her youngest son Gregi has an eye on Wanda. The work is poorly paid, but the single mother Wanda needs the money for her own family in Poland. She comes a few times a year, works a few months, and returns to her village to look after her two teenage sons.

So Wanda gets an intimate insight into the family life of the Wegmeister-Gloors. Conversely, Wanda brings a breath of fresh air into the family. Wanda offers the Patriarch Joseph all kinds of services, including one of which he becomes pregnant. Things get even more complicated when Wanda's parents and sons come to visit Switzerland and cause even more chaos. Two families, two lifestyles and two completely different worlds collide.
