Ilja Schierbaum (born October 23, 1976 in Berlin ) is a German actor , lyricist and musician .

Life

Born and raised in Berlin, Ilja Schierbaum showed early enthusiasm for the acting profession. He received a speaker training at the radio of the GDR and participated in various radio plays. From 1998 to 2002 he completed his training as an actor at the University of Music and Theater in Leipzig .

In 1996 he founded the band Schrottfisch together with Steffen Magirius (bass), Felix Lösch (djembe) and Gari Walkowitz (drums) . With the addition of René Lindstedt (guitar) and a changing line-up on drums (Ralph Harting, Leonardo von Papp, Andreas Albrecht), the project won the Rio Reiser Song Prize. In 2003 they triumphed at the John Lennon Talent Award and released the EP "Um Übermorgen" . Schrottfisch have played over 300 concerts in ten years (including with Seeed , Nena , Mia , Tele , Juli , Bosse ...) and delighted their listeners until they split up in 2006.

In addition to his work in various theater ensembles (including Schauspiel Leipzig , Theater an der Parkaue , Hans Otto Theater Potsdam, Schauspielhaus Zurich ), Ilja Schierbaum composes theater and film music and tours Germany as a singer-songwriter . At the end of November 2009 his solo debut album Terror was released . In spring 2011 he released a live album for the first time.

Ilja Schierbaum's project to sail across the Spree in a self-made, huge paper ship received a lot of attention.
