Ilka Chase

Ilka Chase (born April 8, 1905 in New York City , † February 15, 1978 in Mexico City ) was an American actress and writer .

Live and act

Ilka Chase was the only daughter of Edna Woolman Chase , the editor of Vogue , and her husband Francis Dane Chase. She attended schools in the USA, England and France. She married Louis Calhern in 1926, but divorced a year later. It made its Broadway debut in 1924 .

Her first book was the autobiography Past Imperfect (1942), and the second part was Free Admission (1948). She wrote about another dozen novels.
