Ilse Auguste Leopoldine Buck (born May 11, 1923 in Linz ; † April 1, 2012 in Vienna ) was an Austrian gymnastics teacher, radio presenter and author.

Life

Ilse Buck studied sports in Vienna and Berlin and was a state-certified gymnastics, sports and gymnastics teacher .

As a presenter for the ORF radio stations Ö3 , Ö2 (previously Ö Regional) and Ö1 , she presented isometric exercises every morning in the program Fit mach mit and morning gymnastics with Ilse Buck from 1965–1998 . Her fame became so great that she was called the national gymnast . She also had a broadcast on Bavarian Radio . Your ORF broadcast was ended in 1998 without any action on your part. During the exit restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic , morning gymnastics with Ilse Buck was broadcast daily on Ö1 again in spring 2020.

Buck wrote books on training methods for everyday life until he was old. She was awarded the professional title of Professor by the Ministry of Education . Ilse Buck's urn was buried on May 3, 2012 in the cemetery area adjacent to the Simmering fire hall in a lawn grave (department 7, ring 3, group 11, number 182).

In 2018 was in Vienna- Donaustadt (22nd District) in the seaside town of Aspern the Ilse Buck street named after her.
