Ilse Kaschube , married Ilse Zeisler , (born June 25, 1953 in Altentreptow ) is a former German canoeist .

Ilse Kaschube started for SC Neubrandenburg , where she was trained by Helmut Hörentrup. In 1970 she won the GDR championships in a single kayak and with Dorethea Oltmann in a two-person kayak . In the following year, she finished fourth in both classes and became Junior European Champion in K 2. In 1972 she became GDR champion in K 2 with Carola Zirzow . But due to changes in the line-up, she did not appear with her, but with Petra Grabowsky at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich . Behind the starters from the Soviet Union, Lyudmila Pinajewa and Ekaterina Kuryshko , they won the silver medal and received the Patriotic Order of Merit in bronze. The following year they also won the world title together. In 1974 she became world champion again - now in a four-person kayak - and was again honored with the Patriotic Order of Merit in bronze.

Kaschube is a trained industrial clerk. After her active career, she became head of department in the Jarmen field of VEB Kleidwerke Altentreptow . She married the former Canadian driver Klaus Zeisler . With him she opened a construction company after the fall of the Wall in 1989 .
