Im Chae-bin

Im Chae-bin (born October 29, 1991 ) is a former track cyclist from South Korea who started in the short-term disciplines. He was Asian champion eight times.

Athletic career

In 2014 Im Chae-bin became two-time Asian champion in the 1000 meter time trial and in the team sprint with Kang Dong-jin and Jeyong Son ; in the Keirin he won bronze. He won another gold medal in the team sprint at the Asian Games that year . In the following two years he won five more continental titles. At the UCI World Railroad Championships in London in 2016 , he finished seventh in the Keirin.

In the same year Im was nominated to start in the sprint (22nd), Keirin (13th) and team sprint at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro . In the team sprint, he was disqualified in the first round together with Kang Dong-jin and Son Je-yong .

In 2018, Im Chae-bin set a new Asian record over 200 meters at the Asian Games with 9.863 seconds .
