Immersed is a Canadian technical death metal band from Ottawa that was formed in 2008. The group has played with Beneath the Massacre , The Black Dahlia Murder , Goatwhore and Quo Vadis , among others .
history
The band was founded in summer 2008 and consisted of guitarist Mike Chambers, drummer Stefan Kushneriuk, guitarist Stephan Meloche and singer Mark Phillips. As a result, the group worked on their first, self-titled demo, which came out in 2009. In 2010, bassist Gareth Allix joined the cast. Thereupon Unique Leader Records became aware of the band, whereupon the group signed a contract with the label in April 2011. In August of that year the debut album In the Ire of Creation followed . The album was led by Chris Bradley and Christian Donaldson in the studio garage included. In the same year, guitarist Aaron Homma and bassist Matt Milford joined the line-up.
style
According to Islander from nocleansinging.com, the band on In the Ire of Creation plays fast and aggressive Technical Death Metal, comparable to the music of Fleshgod Apocalypse and Decapitated . There are hardly any variations in the tempo of the songs. Playing the electric guitars and drums is particularly demanding in the songs. The vocals range from deep growling to high - pitched Black Metal screams. Thematically, the texts were strongly influenced by the works of HP Lovecraft .
