The Imperia Tower (also Empire Tower , Aqua City Palace , Russian Империя ) in Moscow , Russia , is a 60-story building complex with offices, a business center, a hotel and private apartments.
The skyscraper was designed by the architects NBBJ . Construction began in 2001, was interrupted in 2003 due to financial difficulties and continued in 2006. The opening ceremony took place on November 23, 2011 with the participation of the First Deputy Mayor of Moscow Vladimir Ressin .
The building complex stands at the front of the Moscow City International Business Center , directly on the banks of the Moscow River . The skyscraper has an exit to the water and access to Moscow's main transport routes. All windows offer panoramic views of the Moscow River, the Kremlin , the city center, the Sparrow Hills , Lomonosov University , Poklonnaya Gora and parks in western Moscow.
The building areas are divided into three parts:
- Apartments (premium class apartments and penthouses) - 45,000 m².
- Hotel - 30,000 m² (250 rooms)
- Commercial space - 76,700 m². Additional areas (lobbies, elevators, etc.) with more than 53,000 m².
The building site includes part of the banks of the Moscow River with a pier, cafes, restaurants and infrastructure.
The apartments are private apartments with 45,000 m² on floors 40 to 60. The upper floors are two-storey penthouse apartments. Separate entrances and elevators separate the apartments from the commercial areas of the building.
The hotel is located on floors 33 to 41. It has 250 rooms, conference rooms, restaurants, a health club and a spa.
The business areas occupy the three levels from floors 2 to 31.
