Imre Lengyel (born April 24, 1977 in Budapest ) is a former Hungarian water diver . He started in artificial jumping from the 1 m and 3 m board and later in 10 m tower and synchronized jumping. Between 1999 and 2002 he was able to win a total of three medals at European championships and take part in two Olympic Games .

Lengyel denied in Atlanta , the 1996 Olympic Games . From the 3-meter board he reached the semi-finals and finally finished the competition in 17th place. He won his first medal at the European Championships in Istanbul in 1999 , and from the 3-meter board he won the silver medal. A year later he started in Sydney at his second Olympic Games . From the 3-meter board, he was able to reach the final this time, in which he was eleventh. In the following years, Lengyel also started from the 10 m tower. At the 2001 World Championships in Fukuoka , he achieved his best World Cup placement with ninth place on the 3-meter board. At the European Championships in Berlin in 2002 he reached the final from the 3-meter board, but he was particularly successful from the 10-meter tower. He won the silver medal in individual and with András Hajnal also in synchronized jumping.

Lengyel won the 1m and 3m board titles at the Universiade in Palma in 1999 . He graduated from the University of Miami with a degree in psychology. For the university's sports team, the Hurricanes , he won a total of two medals at college championships.
