João Batista Inácio , also known as Piá (born March 22, 1982 in Ibitinga ) is a Brazilian football player . His younger brother Joelson is also a soccer player.

Career

João Batista Inácio learned to play football in the youth of Atalanta Bergamo as an attacker. In the 2001/02 season he made nine games at Bergamo, in which he scored one goal. In the following season he played 14 games for Atalanta, but remained without a goal. Piá was awarded for the entire 2003/04 season in Serie B to Ascoli Calcio . There he found his way back to his form. In 36 games he scored 13 goals for Ascoli. He returned to Bergamo, but received only ten missions in which he could not score again. In January 2005 he was bought by SSC Napoli , which was still playing in Serie C at the time. At Napoli Piá managed to play his way into the regular formation. In two and a half years he played 62 games for Napoli, in which he scored 12 goals. Piá was awarded to the FBC Treviso in Serie B for the 2007/08 season . After 16 games and three goals followed the next loan, this time to Catania in the Serie A . There he remained in eight games without a goal.

In the summer of 2008, the Brazilian attacker returned to SSC Napoli. Due to the strong competition in the storm at Napoli, he could not establish himself and ran in the following 18 months in only 17 league games for Naples, in which he scored four goals. In early January 2010 Piá was awarded to FC Turin in Serie B for the rest of the 2009/10 season . The Turinese also acquired an option to purchase the attacker. However, this was not drawn and the Brazilian returned to Naples after the loan period expired. In August 2010 he was sold to the second division team Calcio Portogruaro Summaga .

Since summer 2012 he played for US Lecce , which he left after a year and joined AE Larisa .
