Architecture and history

The representative building complex is part of the cathedral curia of the Merseburg cathedral. The two-storey, seven-axis residential building facing the cathedral square was built in 1697/98. It was built on a rectangular plan and is covered with a high hipped roof. There is a three-axis central risk towards the Domplatz . It is crowned by a flat triangular gable supported by pilasters decorated with capitals .

Some of the farm buildings further south date from the 16th century and have a large vaulted cellar. They were rebuilt around 1905. The yard gate of the facility originally belonged to a riding hall and was moved here after it was demolished.

In the local register of monuments , the curia is listed as a monument under registration number 094 20138 .
