Ina Maria Schmid

Ina Maria Schmid (born June 20, 1957 in Warmbad Villach , Carinthia ) is an Austrian entrepreneur.

Life

Ina Maria Schmid was born as the second child (twins) of the hoteliers Hubert and Anni Pirker. She grew up in Latschach near the Faaker See in Carinthia. As a teenager Ina Maria Schmid competed in ski races and was part of the ÖSV youth team. A serious fall injury ended her career as a ski racer. Schmid then began commercial training and graduated in 1976 with the Matura from the Federal Commercial Academy in Villach . In 1979 Ina Maria Schmid was confronted with nail cosmetics in the USA and returned to Europe with the vision of establishing the knowledge and skills acquired in the United States on the European market.

At the end of the 1980s, Schmid founded the Austrian Nail Academy and began nail design training in all federal states of Austria with a training book and company concept.

In the following years Ina Maria Schmid expanded this concept to other countries. She introduced the competition style (raised smile line , integrated shadows along the smile line, moons, 50% C-curve and tunnel shape) in 1999 and made it popular worldwide.

In 2001 Schmid founded the company "IMS Europe". At the same time she created the cosmetics label "Cesars Secrets", which is exported throughout Europe, in parts of Asia, Japan and now also to the USA. Today her company operates worldwide and employs a total of 460 people at 56 distributors in 26 countries.

Awards

In 2006 Ina Maria Schmid was awarded the title of Commercial Councilor by the Austrian Chancellor Wolfgang Schüssel . Schmid is the youngest holder of this title.

In 2008 Jörg Haider presented her with the Golden Decoration of Honor of the State of Carinthia .

Cesars Secrets brand

Christian Cesar was trained by Schmid to be the most successful nail designer in Europe. In his honor, Ina Maria Schmid founded the Cesars Secrets International product line in 2002 with her company IMS Europe (which stands for the initials Ina Maria Schmid) .

Schmid founded national nail academies in the European countries and united them in 2001 under the trademarked umbrella organization European Nail Academy (ENA).

In 2004 the European Nail Association (ENA) , which is also protected by trademark law, was founded .
