Ingalill Olsen (born December 15, 1955 ) is a Norwegian politician of the Social Democratic Workers' Party (Ap). From 2009 to 2013 and again since 2017 she has been a member of the Storting .

Life

Ingalill Olsen was born to the housewife Alfhild Kemmervik and the later Minister of Fisheries Trygve Olsen . From 1973 to 1974 she attended Røros Secondary School in arts and crafts. She later studied at the Finnmark Teachers' College until 1980, after which she worked as a teacher in Havøysund until 1986. Olsen then worked as an educational advisor for the municipality of Måsøy until 1995 . She also sat in the municipality's local parliament from 1987 to 2009, and from 1995 she served as mayor.

Olsen moved into the Norwegian national parliament in Storting for the first time in the 2009 general election . There she represents the constituency of Finnmark and she subsequently became vice-chair of the local and administrative committee. From October 2010 to September 2013 she was also a member of the parliamentary committee of the Arbeiderpartiet. In the 2013 election she missed moving in again and only returned to parliament after the 2017 Storting election. She eventually became part of the Transportation and Communications Committee.

In April 2020, she announced that she did not want to run again for a seat in Storting in the 2021 parliamentary election .
