Inge Machts

Inge Machts , née Inge Braumüller (born November 23, 1909 in Berlin , † April 6, 1999 in Hanover ) was a German athlete and sports official.

Inge Braumüller was the older sister of Ellen Braumüller . Inge took part in the 1928 Olympic Games in Amsterdam and took seventh place in the high jump . She won the title at German championships in 1929 and was second or third several times. On August 8, 1930, she won the student world championship in Darmstadt in three disciplines (high jump, long jump, 100-meter run); the 1.559 m she achieved there in the high jump was described in the press as the new German record.

Braumüller won another title in the same year when she won the Women's World Games in Prague with 1.57 m - her personal best.

After her active time, she became managing director of Hannover 78 .
