Inge Druckrey

Inge Druckrey (born 1940 in Berlin ) is a German-American designer .

Live and act

Inge Druckrey attended seminars on art history and language at the University of Basel while she completed her design studies at the Basel School of Applied Arts in 1965 . She then worked for Studio Halpern in Zurich for a year . From 1966 she taught in the USA at Yale University , the Rhode Island School of Design , the University of the Arts Philadelphia and the Kansas City Art Institute, in Germany she taught at the Krefeld School of Applied Arts . In addition to teaching, she worked as a designer for clients such as IBM and US universities . Her works combine Swiss rationality with postmodern complexity; they were widely published and included in collections of various museums. Druckrey is married to Edward Tufte , the author of seminal writings on information design.
