Inge Bödding
Inge Bödding (born March 29, 1947 in Hamburg , née Eckhoff) is a former German athlete who - starting for the Federal Republic - was successful as a 400-meter runner in the late 1960s and early 1970s . Her greatest success is the bronze medal in the 4 x 400 meter relay at the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich in 3: 26.5 min, together with Anette Rückes , Hildegard Falck and Rita Wilden .
For this sporting success, she and her teammates were awarded the Silver Laurel Leaf on September 11, 1972.
In 1971 she became two-time German champion over 400 meters. On the track she reached the finish in front of Christel Frese and Annette Rückes and in the hall in front of Gisela Ahlemeyer and Gisela Ellenberger. She was German runner-up in 1969 in the hall behind Christel Frese and in front of Birgit Hefti, and in 1970 on the track behind Christel Frese and in front of Heidi Gerhard . There is also a third place at the German Indoor Championships in 1972 behind Christel Frese and Erika Weinstein.

- 1969 : 3rd place with the 4 x 400 meter relay (3: 32.7 min, under the name Inge Eckhoff, together with Christa Czekay , Antje Gleichfeld and Christel Frese)
- 1971 : 2nd place in the 400 meter run (52.9 s); 2nd place with the 4 x 400 meter relay (3: 33.0 min, together with Anette Rückes, Christel Frese and Hildegard Falck)

Inge Bödding belonged to the LG Niendorf / Lurup until 1969 , then to the LG Nord-West Hamburg . In her active days, she was 1.54 m tall and weighed 49 kg.
