Ingeborg Sahler-Fesel
Ingeborg Sahler-Fesel (born January 15, 1956 in Ehrang (now part of Trier )) is a German politician ( SPD ) and has been a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament since 2006 .
Life
Sahler-Fesel graduated from the Auguste-Viktoria-Gymnasium Trier in 1975 . She then studied classical philology and German at the University of Trier until 1979 . From 1974 to 1989 she was a trainer in the Federal Association for Self-Protection . From 1979 to 1987 Sahler-Fesel was also the managing director of the Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund Trier. After a family break, she worked from 2001 to 2006 as a commercial clerk at Regnery container service.
Sahler-Fesel is married, has two children and lives in Schweich .
politics
Sahler-Fesel has been a member of the SPD since 1979. From 1996 to 2000 she was deputy chairwoman of the Trier city association. She has been a member of the Trier-Saarburg district council since 2009 and the chairwoman of the SPD district parliamentary group since 2011.
From 1994 to 1999 Sahler-Fesel was a member of the Trier-Ehrang local council. In 1999 she was elected to the Trier City Council. After the state elections in 2006 , Sahler-Fesel moved into the state parliament on May 18, 2006 and became a member of the committees for labor, social affairs, family and health , equality and the advancement of women as well as in the state youth welfare committee . In addition, she was the chairwoman of the SPD in the Enquête Commission on Integration and Migration. After the state elections in 2011 , she became a member of the Committee on Integration, Family, Children and Youth , the Petitions Committee and the Prison Commission. She is chairman of the working group on integration, family, children and youth of the SPD parliamentary group and the spokeswoman for integration and family. She is a member of various state advisory boards.
