Ingenried is a former municipality in Swabia and is now part of the municipality of Pforzen in the Ostallgäu district .

geography

Ingenried is located about two kilometers north-northwest of Pforzen on federal highway 16 in a small valley on a plateau west of the Wertach . The Ingenrieder Weiher is located south of the town center .

history

Ingenried was first mentioned in 1263 as the property of the Margraves of Ronsberg . The place name suggests, however, that the village was founded in the 9th or 10th century, ie the time of the conquest and clearing of the Alemanni .

On July 1, 1971, in the course of the regional reform in Bavaria, the parish village was incorporated into Pforzen.
